This below is pure fandom after seeing "Kick-Ass" for the 3rd time in the theatre. It's my little Tengu guy in a Kick-Ass outfit. Really, I would have loved this movie if only because it seemed like a purer Millar adaptation than "Wanted" (didn't even see it), but it totally blew my socks off. I loved the comic but, the movie brought its comic world to life in a way I hadn't seen since "The Dark Knight" and every change they made in the movie was made in the name of its respective medium and in my humble opinion made things a little easier to feel optimistic about (C'mon, Dave's gotta get the girl after everything he endures).
And now that director Matthew Vaughn's been announced (along with "X-Men" 1 & 2 director Bryan Singer as producer) to helm "X-Men: 1st Class" (an X-Men prequel/reboot with Angel, Beast, Jean, & Scott) and has the okay on everything from yellow & blue costumes to the final story I think I can breath a sigh of relief for at least one superhero movie franchise...
